Women’s Handball League MVP Kang Kyung-min moves to SK…

Kang Kyung-min, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Women’s Handball 2022-2023 regular season, is moving to the SK Sugar Gliders.

The center back, who played for the Gwangju Urban Corporation until last season, became a free agent on July 7 and will wear the SK jersey.

Kang, a national team member, has been named the regular season MVP of the Korean Women’s Handball League three times in the last four years, including the 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2022-2023 seasons.

In each of the seasons she was named MVP, she was also the top scorer.

Ahead of the Shinhan SOL Pay 2023-2024 Handball H League, which opens on Nov. 11, there has been an active transfer activity in the women’s division.

In addition to Kang Kyung-min, national team core power Im Kyung-kyung, who played for Busan Facilities Corporation, will move to Gyeongnam Development Corporation.

Im is a center back who played alongside Ryu Eun-hee (Gyorgy, Hungary) as the team’s leading scorer at the Hangzhou Asian Games last month.

Samcheok City Hall, last season’s Korea League champions, are pushing to sign Kim Sun-hwa, who played for Daegu City Hall.

If Kim chooses to join Samcheok, she will be reunited with her older sister Kim On-ah, who also plays for Samcheok.

Kim On-ah and Kim Sun-hwa played together at Incheon City Hall until last year.

Kim Won-na, who played for SK, is reportedly most likely to wear a Seoul City Hall uniform.

In addition, Gyeongnam Development Corporation will also take Kim A-young from Daegu City Hall, while Samcheok City Hall’s Kang Eun-seo will move to Incheon City Hall for the 2023-2024 season.

In the 2023-2024 season, the H League Women’s Division will only play against SK-Busan Facilities Corporation on the 11th and Seoul City Hall-Daegu City Hall on the 12th before taking a break for the World Championship.

The women’s schedule will then resume in January 2024, and the transferred players will be eligible to play in the January 2024 games. 토토사이트
