Great Canadian Entertainment’s program awards C$1,500 scholarships to 10 middle and high school graduates who have impacted their communities through volunteering. The beneficiaries are dependents of more than 7,000 company members across the United States, or employees who work and study at one of the 25 branches of the operator.

Chuck Keeling, vice president of stakeholder engagement, community and social responsibility, a game leader, said the company is excited to award these scholarships to recipients in time for the new semester. He also noted that the company is hopeful that the money will ease the financial stress that may come after secondary education.

Mr Keeling said it was satisfactory to review the stories from the application and how much time and effort was devoted to supporting their communities. He said there are boards for local charities that read to children and volunteer at youth shelters, as well as others who volunteer at local food banks, homeless shelters, and community service organizations.

In a press release, the company provided a list of all those receiving scholarships for 2024. These include Elnaz Aragizadeh from Halifax, Nova Scotia; Antonino Perish from Toronto, Ontario; Happy Gill from Mississauga, Ontario; Dyson Glavas from New Westminster, British Columbia; Olivia Hahn from Barry, Ontario; and Hayden McNeil from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Then there’s Jennifer Marlow from Arthur, Ontario; Nikila Morpuri from Victoria; Patrick Pinter from Toronto, Ontario; and Adam Przyzemski from Brantford, Ontario, the last but less important. In June 2023, Great Canadian Entertainment recorded significant achievements when it officially launched Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto to the public. The game resort has 4,800 slot machines, 145 live table games, VIP rooms and sports betting terminals, the largest in the country, available to customers.
