Foypet Reports Fire At Cambodian Border Casino

Widespread fires were reported at a casino complex in Puypet, Cambodia, a border resort with a place serving many players from neighboring Thailand where casino gambling is illegal.

Nation news outlets said the fire alarm occurred late on Monday at a property called “Zenting Crown Casino.” China News Agency Xinhua identified the affected property as “Golden Casino,” reporting that six people were injured from smoke inhalation in the fire.

The fire was reportedly caused by an electrical defect in the elevator.

In December 2017, based on documents from Amax International Holdings Ltd. filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, GGRAsia reported that the former junket operator of the Greek mythology casino in Macau would operate a VIP room at a location called Genting Crown Casino in poifet.

GGRAsia noted at the time that the property was not found to be related to Australia’s Crown Resorts Inc or Malaysian game operator Genting Bhd and its units.
