OLG To Review Operator Bid For Windsor Casino

The RFPQ process allows OLG to pre-qualify potential proponents based on its previous experience in operating casinos of this size. Those who advance in the first stage will advance to the proposal request. At this stage, the candidate will receive a document outlining the opportunities at Windsor and the information required to submit detailed proposals.

Interested companies should be aware that the ongoing RFPQ process will be finalized on May 25, 2023, and that bids must be submitted before the deadline. As mentioned, the property is currently operated by Caesars Entertainment, and the current procurement process allows existing operators to apply once again and potentially continue their terms in Windsor.

In August 2022, OLG and Caesars Entertainment announced an agreement to extend the operator’s previous contract to operate the Windsor gaming facility. According to Crown Corporation, the new contract will be built on the basis of the previous contract and will be extended for another year. It is now due to expire in August 2025, and features the same terms and conditions.
