The LG Twins have confirmed their position on the coaching staff for the 2024 season. Coach Jung Soo-sung newly joined the position of the third base running coach, which coach Lee Jong-beom left.
The LG Twins held a coaching staff workshop for the 2024 season at LG Champions Park in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, for two days and one night from Jan. 3-4.
The workshop was attended by coach Yeom Kyung-yeop, 24 existing coaching staff members, nine new coaching staff members, and a data analysis team.
“Through this workshop, we had a review time to look back on the 2023 season. We also started preparations for the 2024 season through spring camps and operation plans,” LG said.
In particular, we also discussed the newly introduced pitch clock and automatic pitch determination system. In the conditioning part, based on the last data, we presented opinions on the direction of physical training and shared data on the conditioning part such as injuries, he added.
“At the beginning of the year, we will discuss the direction of the team through coaching staff workshops. The coaching staff of the first team should be able to focus on performance and win and nurture the team at the same time. The second and remaining teams will continue to strengthen the direction of the team’s development,” Yeom Kyung-yeop said, explaining the direction of the coaching staff for this season.
Meanwhile, the LG Twins confirmed the position of coaching staff for the 2024 season through a workshop on the day.
Coach Lee Ho-joon, who used to be a batting coach in the main league, will take the role of a quality control coach. In addition, nine new coaches including second-tier coach Seo Yong-bin, Choi Sang-deok, Jung Soo-sung, Son Ji-hwan, Choi Kyung-chul, Kim Yong-ui, Choi Seung-joon, Kim Jae-yul and Chung Ju-hyun have joined the team.
