Intense competition in the Kartrider:Drift division has crowned the Round of 16.
Thirty-two players from 16 regions across the country competed in the round of 32 in the Kartrider:Drift category of the President’s Cup Amateur Esports Competition (KeG) at the Gunsan Saemangeum Convention Center in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do, on April 19. The results showed that Incheon, Jeonbuk, Gyeonggi, and Busan gained an advantage by not having any players eliminated, while Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Jeju suffered as both of their players were eliminated.
In Group A, Daejeon’s Kim Sung-wook took first place with 58 points. Gyeongnam’s Seung-jun Jung came in second with 51 points, also just over the 50-point mark. In Group B, Park Ki-sung from Busan took the top spot with 54 points, 13 points clear of second place. In Group C, Gyeonggi’s Lee Sang-young scored 52 points, followed by Jeonbuk’s Shin Min-seok with 41 points. In Group D, Seoul’s Lee Yong-hyun took the top spot with 55 points, followed by Incheon’s Dong Jun-yong in second place with 50 points.
Group E heralded the birth of a new star as Kim Eui-ji, who took first, second, and third place shortly after the start of the competition, advanced to first place with a spectacular ceremony. The Daejeon representative was followed by Gyeonggi’s Kim Eun-gyu. In Group F, Incheon’s Lee Min-jae and Busan’s Park Tae-yeon advanced to the next round with 51 and 48 points after a fierce battle for first place. In Group G, Kim Jae-sun, who took first place in four of the seven races, comfortably took the top spot, while Noh Jin-woo edged out Jang Min-ki by just one point 스포츠토토 to punch his ticket to the next round. Finally, in Group H, Gwangju’s Lee Woo-jin and Gangwon’s Yang Wan-kyu found themselves in the Round of 16.
Meanwhile, those who make it through to the Round of 16 will be split into two groups on Tuesday for the Round of 16. The top four finishers from each group in the round of 16 will advance to the finals to compete for the title.
