Mkodo To Supply Geolocation Technology To Ontario Roots

Rootz, an iGaming solutions company, and mkodo, a Pollard Banknote subsidiary, announced a partnership. 슬롯머신 Through the agreement, mkodo will offer GeoLocs, best-in-class geolocation technology, to Rootz’s online casino platform Wildz. Currently, Ontario is the only Canadian territory to privatize the online gambling market and allow third-party operators. The market, overseen by Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission, was introduced to prevent Better from playing games on unregulated websites and to maintain a portion of revenue in the province. Tony Kjäldström, Rootz’s chief product officer, commented on the new contract, saying mkodo’s GeoLocs is an ideal fit for the company’s geolocation needs for players in Ontario. He explained that the supplier’s skills and expertise were critical to the operator’s efforts to license and operate in the regulated iGaming sector.

GeoLocs was first introduced to the iGaming world earlier this year and was later certified by Gaming Laboratories International in February 2023. The technology was then integrated into Casumo’s products to help online casino operators meet full compliance in Ontario. Mr. Kjäldström said the partnership will enable Rootz to provide the same iGaming experience as anyone else.

Rootz will be able to provide improved compliance strategies as well as maximize revenue opportunities with geolocation technology services, and lastly, players will have a seamless location experience, which can be done directly through an app or website in an online casino for your convenience.

Stuart Godfree, managing director of mkodo, said the vendor is excited to partner with the Heartland-area iGaming operator and provide the best user experience for geographic proof of location. He added that he was pleased to support operators’ entry into the Internet game as the company continues to offer leading geolocation services.

A recent report from Ontario found that local online players prefer digital casino games to sports betting. For example, in the first quarter of fiscal 2023-24, betting companies set aside C$11.6 billion for iCasino titles, including slots, live and computer-based table games, peer-to-peer bingo, and more. Meanwhile, sports betting was worth C$2 billion.

However, some experts, such as Nigel Turner, a scientist at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health located in Toronto, are concerned about iGaming’s growing popularity. He noted that the region is awash with sports betting ads, arguing that the growing popularity could cause more people to have gambling-related problems.
