Manchester City are preparing for a generational change as Kevin De Bruyne, 33, is rumored to be heading to Saudi Arabia. The club is looking to sell De Bruyne and replace him with a young star. They are currently monitoring the movements of several players and are looking for opportunities.
European soccer transfer market expert Rudi Galletti told British outlet TeamTalk on June 6 (KST), “With De Bruyne agreeing to move to Saudi Arabia, City are looking to sign four next-generation superstars. Pep Guardiola is determined to sell De Bruyne (53, Spain) this summer. City had been preparing for De Bruyne’s departure for some time and had several replacements in mind,” the report said.
This summer, City were ready to part ways with De Bruyne. After being heavily pursued by the Saudi Professional League, De Bruyne held talks with Al-Ittihad and accepted their offer, setting off a transfer saga. Having reached an agreement with the player, Al-Ittihad are now set to negotiate a transfer fee with City.
With De Bruyne’s departure, City are keeping an eye on the young stars of the future. According to Galletti, the four players they are targeting are Joao Neves (19-Benfica), Xavi Simons (21-Paris Saint-Germain), Florian Wirz (21-Leverkusen), and Jamal Moussa Alaa (21-Bayern Munich), with Moussa Alaa being the most interested.
Mkhitaryan and Bayern Munich began contract talks midway through last season, but it’s unclear if they will stay together now that talks have stalled. Mkhitaryan and Bayern Munich have a contract until June 2026. The possibility that Bayern Munich could sell Moussaoui this summer has struck a nerve with City, who are worried about what could happen.
Galletti added: “Mkhitaryan is the most highly rated replacement for De Bruyne. Guardiola has been making secret moves to sign him,” he said, adding: “His future 19사이트 depends on Simons joining Bayern Munich. With contract talks currently at a standstill, there is a possibility that Bayern Munich could sell Musial for a huge fee.”
Having grown up playing for English clubs such as Southampton and Chelsea as a youngster, Musial joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2019. One of Bayern’s most highly touted prospects, the teenager broke into the first team as a teenager and showed off his exceptional talent. With his technical dribbling and creativity, Moussaoui gradually rose through the ranks, competing with some of the best players in the game.
His meteoric rise saw him become the ace of the team in 2022-23, scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists in 47 official matches. He followed that up last season with 12 goals and seven assists in 38 official games, leading the attack alongside Harry Kane (30). However, despite these performances, he suffered the first non-trophy season of his career as the club failed to capitalize on the trophy hunt.
