Fans Union Formally Joins Ontario’s iGaming Sector

This week, international sports and entertainment company FansUnit announced that it has been approved to join Ontario’s upcoming iGaming and sports betting market this spring. On March 7, 2022, the company announced that it has now been approved by the Ontario Alcohol and Gaming Commission, after applying to become a fully registered sports betting and Internet gaming provider in Ontario.

The province’s open market for private game operators was first scheduled to start late last year, but it has been postponed until this year. Starting April 4, 2022, operators licensed by the province will now be able to legally launch online betting and gaming offerings on the local player base of the eligible Ontarian.

Fans Unite is a global sports and entertainment company, whose goal is to provide technology for regulated online games, and the company boasts a unique iGaming platform that offers sports and esports bets, pre-match and in-play bets, daily fantasy offers, and RNG casino-style games.

Now that you’re approved to join Ontario’s new iGaming and sports betting industry, you’re ready to expand your business. The company may also offer premium betting solutions to other game operators who may legally enter the market from AGCO on April 4, 2022.

The company’s CEO, Scott Burton, said in a statement that the game leader is proud to be approved by AGCO and part of the state’s sports betting and iGaming solution provider. He added that the company continues to focus on domestic and international markets as it is expanding its business.

Mr Burton also said gaming-related vendor licenses could give him an early edge in Canada’s online gambling industry and make him a provider of betting solutions for new sports books and online casinos. He concluded that the company is looking forward to working with iGaming Ontario while delivering innovative solutions to the market.

This week, Bragg Gaming Group joined the AGCO-approved operator list to join Ontario’s soon-to-be-regulated iGaming segment. When the market starts in April, major vendors can provide player account management or PAM platforms to local operators. It will also provide iGaming content and management services from in-house studios or third-party partners

Recently, a study published by OnlineCasinoList.com predicted that Ontario’s new open market will have a negative impact on legacy operators. According to the study, such operators will have difficulty adapting to the new system and will lose many of their players who will be heading for local regulatory options. This applies to brands licensed by the Canawake Game Board and Kuraso and Malta.
