Canadian Games Summit Adds Track and Field

With the current digitization of the gambling industry, the Canadian Games Summit will talk about what we are preparing for in the land-based sector. The 26th edition of the popular summit will feature a “land-based” conference track, which will discuss the future of offline gambling in the industry heading toward huge digitalization.

According to CGS’s schedule, the “land base” track will be held at Metro Toronto Convention Center on June 14, 2023, and the online world will include a conference agenda of industry experts discussing the situation of traditional vertical lines such as horse racing, lottery and bingo and the occurrence of omnichannel formats.

The conference track begins with the ‘Lessons Learned from Community & Charity Games’ panel. A topic of interest will be how nonprofit charities and commercial operators can still be viable and relevant. As the game industry develops in new ways, experts will talk about what charity games are needed to adapt to the new environment.

There is also a panel titled Bringing New Technologies and Innovations to Land-Based Games to Seek the Integration of Innovative Technologies and Land-Based Products. Experts on the panel will also announce whether eye gaming and technology will affect land-based revenue in a good way or a bad way, and how offline operators can work together to bring innovation.

Meanwhile, as companies expand their businesses, there will also be “field talent” sourcing various talents from Canada. Here, experts will have a discourse on the growing Canadian workforce in the industry. With many operators debuting in the country’s landscape, panels will discuss how operators can integrate the best local talent and also provide inclusiveness and diversity.

The track also includes various tracks, including Payments & Compliance, Leadership & Growth, iGaming’s showroom and exclusive roadside chat with keynote speakers. These include Ray Pinault, CEO of Mohigan Gaming & Entertainment, and Ilkim Hincer, EVP & CLO at Hard Rock International.

Earlier, the Canadian Games Summit said it will also showcase a thrilling “Sports Betting” conference track, with the “Sports Betting Across Canada: Exploring Patchwork in Provincial Launches” panel launching the track and discussing and analyzing the legalization effects of single event bets in Canada from August 2021.
