Interblock G2E Holds G5 Summit in Asia

Slovenian casino equipment brand Interblock DD showcased its new G5 Electronic Table Game (ETG) platform at the G2E Asia 2014 in Macau.

With a 21-inch liquid crystal display (pictured), the new G5 PlayStation offers a variety of enhancements in the G4 series in addition to the wider screen. These features include illuminated armrests, which include what the company describes as a “faster and more powerful embedded graphics engine,” and easier access for maintenance from the casino operator’s point of view. In addition, Interblock says the new player console, which is ergonomically designed and pitched, is designed to maximize player comfort.

“G2E Asia 2014 was a huge success for Interblock as a global brand. At this gateway to Asian gaming, the opportunity to showcase the latest G5 family of innovative multiplayer gaming consoles has shown tremendous potential,” said Quyen Pham, Asia Sales Director at Interblock Asia Pacific.

One product of this year’s show was the G5 Dice. The G5 Dice is a fully automated ETG product that can offer dice games for Shivona Crab.

Interblock says each die weighs evenly, and it is equipped with a unique radio frequency identification microchip that can read and display the results of each die. Two or three dice can be placed in one central unit and mixed into the vibration table. When mixed, the sensing board under the vibration table reports which side each die fell. Interblock says that this and the carefully calibrated vibration table to make the dice flat on the table can ensure fast and “100% reliable” detection.

The company says dice generators can yield between 60 and 80 results per hour, far above the minimum speed of 40 results per hour typically seen on live dealer sicbo.

Another crowd delight in G2E Asia was the interblock hologram gaming lounge, which gave its Asian premiere at this year’s trade event. The technology was released for the first time in the world to a selected audience at the G2E in Las Vegas in October 2012.

“We wanted to show the Macau market that Macau is one of the most important regions for our organization. The customer response has been outstanding and they believe we are one of the most innovative suppliers in the gaming industry today and for many years to come,” said Tom O’Brien, CEO of Interblock USA LC.

Union Gaming Research Macau Ltd. said Wednesday in its annual report on the local segment of electronic table games that Interblock is one of six brands that together hold more than 90% of ETG’s Asian market.
